Creating a new account

First, here's what you're getting into:

  • Our Starter Stack monthly shared web hosting plan is priced at $15/month.
  • Signing up for a shared hosting plan will start a 14-day free trial of the monthly service.
  • At the end of the trial, your credit card will be billed for the first month of service automatically, and automatically each month after that.
  • We also have discounted pricing for annual pre-payment. The annual cost for prepaid shared web hosting is $150/year (2 months free compared to the monthly plan). (https://help.opalstack.com/article/9/getting-help).

Ready to go? Here's what to do:

Choose one of the available plans:

  • The Value Stack and Starter Stack are managed shared hosting plans that include a 14-day free trial.
  • The VPS plans are virtual private servers which provide more RAM and better isolation compared to shared hosting. New VPS plans require a 1-day setup time and no free trial is available.
  • The Dedicated plans are dedicated bare-metal servers which provide more even RAM and raw power for demanding applications. New dedicated plans require a 1-3 day setup time and no free trial is available.
  • You can choose monthly or discounted yearly pricing (2 months free!) via the "Monthly" and "Yearly" buttons on the page.

Click the Signup button below your desired plan to move to the next step.

Click 'Select a server location' and select your desired server location.

Enter the username for your account in the space provided. You'll use this name when you log in to the control panel and the control panel API.

Usernames must meet the following requirements:

  • They may contain only letters, digits, and the following characters: @ . + - _
  • They must be no more than 150 characters in length.
  • They must be unique -- that is, you cannot register with a username that already exists.

Enter your email address in the space provided. Your email address will be used for billing and as a means for us to contact you regarding matters concerning your account.

Enter your desired account password in the space provided. You'll use this password when you log in to the control panel and the control panel API.

Passwords must meet the following requirements:

  • Must contain at least 1 of each of the following:
    • 1 lowercase letter A-Z
    • 1 uppercase letter a-z
    • 1 numeral 0-9
    • 1 special character
  • Must be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 254 characters in length.

Enter the following information for your credit card:

  • Card number
  • Card expiration date in the form of MM/YY.
  • 3-digit card verification code from the back of your card
  • The postal/ZIP code for your card's billing address.

Our payment and billing processor is Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, and China UnionPay credit and debit cards.

Click the Sign Up button!

  • If all goes well, you'll be redirected to our control panel dashboard, and you'll receive a welcome email a short while later.
  • If there is a problem with the information you provided in the form, the fields with errors will be outlined in red. Hover over those fields to see a message describing the specific problem, then correct your entries and resubmit the form.
