How do I point my domain at my Opalstack server?
If you want to use Opalstack's name servers with a domain that you own:
Purchase your domain from a registrar if you haven't done so already.
Add your domain via the Opalstack control panel.
Create your website via the Opalstack control panel.
If you need custom DNS records to use external services for your domain then add the DNS records that you want via the Opalstack control panel.
If you are hosting all of your services at Opalstack then this step is not necessary - we'll generate all of the essential DNS records automatically.
Finally, log in to your domain registrar's site (or whoever manages the NS records for your domain) and set your domain's NS records to use Opalstack's name servers. Our name servers are listed here: What are your name servers?
If your domain uses external name servers, such as those managed by your domain registrar, and you want to use the domain to serve websites hosted on Opalstack then you will need to create A records via their systems to point your domains and subdomains at your Opalstack server IP address.
The IP addresses for your Opalstack servers can be found on the control panel dashboard.
If your domain use external name servers and want to use Opalstack's email services with that domain then you will need to create MX records for your domain pointing at Opalstack's MX servers. Our MX servers are listed here: What are your MX servers?
